Disabilities

Our goal is to increase civic participation of people living with disabilites by engaging them in volunteerism and increasing awareness of issues impacting people living with disabilities. In 2008, 5% of our volunteer force will consist of people who identify themselves as living with disabilities.

Inglis House Ice Cream / Pizza Party Social - (Wheelchair Accessible, Family Friendly)
Saturday, August 14, 1:00pm-3:00pm
(5-8 volunteers needed; City Line/2nd Saturdays)
Have fun with the residents of Inglis House while you talk and play games during their ice cream social.

Pegasus Riding Academy
Saturdays, August 7 & 21, 9:00am-12:00pm
(3-6 volunteers needed; Northeast/Two Saturdays)
Pegasus needs your help in providing disabled individuals with therapeutic riding lessons. Volunteers help lead the horse, spot the rider, groom and feed the animals and clean the stables.
